Delivering A Project

A Brief Outline Of The Design Process

In order to ensure that both the client and designer have a full understanding of the project and associated aims and aspirations, the first task would be to take and develop a design brief, this would, in most cases, be followed by a site survey.* After the process of information gathering is complete design development begins. At this stage the Designer would prepare concept drawings, scheme boards and, if required, supporting visuals. At the end of this process the proposal is presented to the client, if  required, the presentation may be supported by a document outlining the scope of works, programme and anticipated cost. - Once projects progress to site regular visits are made to monitor works until completion and  eventual hand-over to the client / user - on budget on time.

* Unless the project is a new build project and most likely supported by Architects drawings.
